The Men of Frozen Cupcakes: Kristoff and Sven

Men of Frozen: Kristoff and SvenFrozen is very much alive and well in our house.  It's Baby Brother's absolute favorite thing to watch, the songs are still fun to sing, and whenever it is on, we all have to watch.  The Captain has reached a point where he thinks he's "too cool" for Frozen, probably because the two main characters are female, of course.  But what about the men of Frozen?  You have the evil Hans, cute little Olaf, and the manly Kristoff and his sidekick Sven the reindeer.  Frozen is very much a movie to be enjoyed by boys and girls, men and women of all ages!  These Frozen cupcakes would be a great addition to a Frozen themed birthday party or celebration.  And they are more "boyish" than the frilly pink Elsa and Anna cupcakes.  Don't get me wrong, I love Anna and Elsa and all things pink, but that doesn't really fly around here with three blue loving manly men.  And who can resist these yummy chocolate cupcakes with blue icing and "snow"?

What a Weekend – Birthday Party Fun!

We celebrated the boys' birthdays this weekend with lots of family and fun stuff to do!  The Captain turned 5 last week D will turn 3 in December, so a double birthday party is always easier on everyone, it seems.  Especially since D's bday is so close to Christmas.  He doesn't mind one bit though….lots of fun, attention, presents, and cake!

The day started off with a baby shower for Baby #3 with a few lovely ladies from church.  It was a fun time with los of delicious food!  Then we went to the Captain's soccer game at noon, and last but not least, their big birthday party!  The boys decided on their own theme…."Wild Kratts" for the Captain and "Go, Diego, Go!" for D.  I found a great Wild Kratts birthday package on eBay, complete with games and creature power vests.  Both of the boys love "Wild Kratts," so they were thrilled!

Wordless Wednesday: Silent Night – David Archuleta

I’m totally cheating on the “Wordless Wednesday” post for today.  There are tons of words and it’s not even a picture, BUT, we LOVE this song by David Archuleta, performed with the Mormon Tabernacle Orchestra!  It’s simply beautiful!

The Boys’ Double Birthday featuring Birthday Express!

birthdayexpress.com

The Captain's birthday is in November and Baby D's birthday is close to Christmas, so this year, we decided to have a double birthday in between their birthdays.  Luckily, they both like dinosaurs so picking out a theme was easy.  I logged on to Birthday Express and quickly found a lot of cute party supplies.  There was a ferocious dinosaur themed party package and a cute dinosaur package.   I showed the Little Dino Party Pack for 8 to Captain Fussybuckets and Baby D and they both loved it!  It quickly came in the mail and I was impressed with the quality of the items.  The pack included eight invitations, dinner plates, cups, forks, spoons, activity placemats, sixteen napkins, a tablecover, and eighteen balloons in three colors.  It was the perfect amount for our small family birthday party for the boys!  Check out the pictures from the boys' birthday party!
