It's back to school time for many kids around the country.  The Captain is four and so he can't start kindergarten yet, but I do still have to pack him a lunch once a week for preschool.  It gets really, really hard to pack lunches once a week, so I can't imagine how hard it is on a day to day basis!  It is hard finding good, healthy foods that are also quick and easy and appropriate for a lunch box.

back to school

YumEarth Organics makes it easy to find organic treats to put into the Captain's lunchbox.  Their new Fruit Snacks are organic, gluten free, vegan, free of soy, nuts, and dairy, and also don't contain artificial colors or dyes.  That means no high fructose corn syrup or gelatin like so many other popular fruit snacks contain.  The ingredients list is simple:  organic brown rice syrup, organic sugar, pectin, citric acid, natural flavors, organic juice concentrates (carrot, apple, pumpkin, radish, and black currant), juice concentrate (carrot and hibiscus), and absorbic acid.
