I am always looking for ways to improve the health of my family and myself. I really enjoy reading articles and tips about health, so when I was recently given the opportunity to download an app called WannaBeWell from Life…Supplemented, I was excited! This is a great app, especially if you find yourself lacking time to do things or you just don't know WHERE to look for information about health, diet, dietary supplements, and more.
I thought it was neat that you can pick your own coach and customize him/her with outfits and such. It's just a fun little detail to the program that makes it a little more motivational! Your coach will give you daily motivational messages to keep you moving toward a healthier lifestyle.
There is a lot of information about different health conditions and how to help the side effects of each:
The Supplement Resource Center has lots of information on many different supplements and vitamins and helps you make informed decisions about what you need to take and what each vitamin helps with. You can also set up reminders to take your vitamins, which, if you're like me, is very helpful!!
It also gives tips on different supplements to try to combat certain illnesses and conditions, like using garlic to help with high cholesterol.
I like that this app gives me tips on how to change my diet to a healthier one. Some of the tips are things I've heard before and that's okay, I need reminders! But I LOVE the fact that all of the tips and information are right there, compacted into one smart little app!
You can also receive "Healthy Mission" challenges from your Wellness Coach to collect trophies. This makes it more like a game and gives you something to work towards. The tasks aren't hard at all, maybe just to eat a salad with your lunch or to take the stairs instead of the elevator if you're given the chance, but they're little things that you can incorporate into your life to make you healthier.
Download the WannaBeWell App for FREE at the App store by clicking here:
If you don't have a smart phone, you can find out more about Life Supplemented on their website. There are several online tools to optimize your personal health such as taking the My Wellness Scorecard – a fun, free online quiz that provides a health assessment and tips to improve your health. Also, make sure to visit The Supplemental, a blog that has talks about healthy diet, supplements, and exercise from a panel of experts. There is also the Supplement Resource Center where you can access thousands of articles to help you make informed decisions on taking dietary supplements.
I wrote this blog post while participating in a blog tour by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Life…supplemented. As a thank you for participating, I received a $25 promotional item, and a $25 donation was made on my behalf to Vitamin Angels.
