We live in a small town. A few times a year, a "carnival" comes to town, and I use that term VERY loosely because it consists of a carousel, a mini train ride, a funnel cake stand, and two carnival games. The boys LOVE it, of course. So one night last month, the "carnival" was in town and Captain Fussybuckets played one of those awful shoot the bottle games. The man running the game was very sweet and let the Captain pick between a bunch of stuffed animals and this is what he chose:
A sweet little bear with crowns on him. But look closer…
His eyes are really messed up. This picture really doesn't show the full extent of how sad this guy looks. When I first saw him, I made a comment about he was a janky-eyed teddy bear. Well, I should've known that soon the Captain would be calling him "Janky Teddy." And yes, that's his name. It provides some comic relief when the Captain is throwing a fit at bedtime, though. "I WANT JANKY TEDDDDY!" sounds pretty funny and lightens the mood when Mr. Three Year Old is having a meltdown at bedtime!
And in true Captain Fussybuckets fashion…yes, there is a song for that:
