Poopsie Doodles Cloth Diaper – Best Ever!

Poopsie Doodles is a cloth diaper company and all of the diapers are designed and hand made with love by the awesome work at home mom, Noelle.  Noelle designed her diapers for her youngest son, who was a heavy wetter, so they are designed to hold a ton!  There are many options to choose from, too.  You first choose which type of diaper you want – a one-size all-in-two (AI2) with a waterproof PUL outer and snap in soakers OR a one-size fitted diaper, which is not waterproof, but still super absorbent.

We had the awesome opportunity to review this super cute one-size AI2 cloth diaper in Traffic Jam from Poopsie Doodles for Baby D:

Poopsie Doodles diapers are designed to fit babies from about 8 -40 lbs.  All you do is adjust the snaps as your baby grows.  Noelle has also made these diapers where there are no snaps digging into your baby's skin, no matter what their size.

I had never seen a cloth diaper like Poopsie Doodles.  The AI2 is a three piece diaper.  The outer shell is made with PUL so it is waterproof and reusable with extra snap-ins or you can even lay prefolds in it.  There are then two snap in pieces that make up the soaker set.  The larger soaker consists of one layer of heavy bamboo fleece topped with cotton velour and two layers heavy bamboo fleece sewn together at the top, petal style.  The smaller soaker is one layer heavy bamboo fleece topped with bamboo velour and two layers heavy bamboo fleece, sewn together at the top, petal style.  Whew.  That is a LOT of absorbancy!  And you can just go with the larger soaker or the smaller soaker, depending on your baby's size and how much absorbency that you need.

Baby D has worn this diaper twice now with both soakers in.  It has successfully made it through all of my tests.  He was able to wear it the first time for a few hours without leaking.  I generally change his diaper every 3 hours or so and when I changed it, I could tell that it could very easily go longer without leaking.  He also wore it for naptime with no issues at all and also made a "poopsie" in it!  NO issues whatsoever.  I'm SO super pleased with this diaper and a little mad at myself for not trying them out sooner!  I wish I had bought a few of these when Captain Fussybuckets was still in diapers because he was a super heavy wetter.

Taking a good action shot of a 15 month old in a diaper is tricky, but the bottom line is that we LOVE this diaper!  This is seriously one of my favorite diapers and so well made.  It really even works better than the majority of big name diapers we've tried!
