If you are like me, you grew up with felt boards.  I remember having some in Sunday School and at school, as well.  I loved those things!  So when I found out that Betty Lukens was a popular company that made new felt boards, I was excited to get to review them with my kids!  Felt has not gone out of style yet.  It's almost a "new" thing to the iPhone age!

We chose the Panda Bear Dress-Up set, the Birth of Jesus set, and the Jonah & The Whale set.  We first took out the Birth of Jesus set since the boys got them on Christmas Day.  Captain Fussybuckets was in awe of the beautiful pictures and how we could tell the story of the birth of Jesus with these little felt pieces!  In this age of TV, movies, apps, etc, it is a breath of fresh air and a nice change of pace.  He was learning the story, so we let him tell it and he loved using the felt board to recreate the birth of Jesus!

Next, he wanted to play with the Panda Bear Dress-Up set:

This set is awesome because you can dress the panda bear according to the weather.  There are clothes for each of the seasons and more!  The Captain really enjoyed this!  With all of his toys that he got for Christmas, he spent the most time at the first sitting with these felt boards.  They're easy and fun and great for learning!  They'd also be a great car activity that is quiet and simple!

Check out Betty Lukens' store online, find them on Facebook, and Twitter!
